As part of Global Human Resources Technology, Payroll, Time, Attendance & Compensation Team is responsible for supporting Human Resources business functions. Contributes to the overall success of the Global HR Technology ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are following governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
In this role you will:
- Provide ongoing support including analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
- Independently resolve complex, multi-faceted problems to meet the business needs, by applying their knowledge of SAP Payroll to design of methodologies, models, and/or systems solutions. This includes conducting research and analysis, accurately and clearly defining user requirements and processes, participating in the reengineering of the HR business process work flows and liaising with the users.
- Manage multiple small Payroll technology projects and/or manage specific sections of large projects to implement technology solutions to HR business problems. This involves planning and scheduling resources, developing detailed project plans and monitoring progress against planned objectives.
- Participate in the systems implementation process by interpreting business requirements into technical specifications/documents, systems analysis, developing test strategies and test cases, performing testing, defining user procedures and workflows, developing conversion and implementation strategies documenting detailed reporting requirements, c and providing post-implementation support.
- Participate in the review of Quality Assurance (QA) test strategies for assigned projects/initiatives to ensure the planned testing is comprehensive and consistent with the business requirements. Support QA testing by analyzing defects to provide clarification of technical specifications.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that management is kept informed, and that problems and issues are escalated appropriately.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
- 10+ years SAP Payroll on premise and/or ECP experience
- Certification in HCM Payroll or Employee Central Payroll is a plus
- Must be able to read and analyze payroll schemas
- Experience in testing SAP Support Packs and supporting year end processes
- Demonstrated hands on experience in troubleshooting end to end payroll, including calculations, DME and integrations
- Demonstrated in depth knowledge of the replication process from Employee Central to SAP Payroll
- Strong Understanding of financial processes
- Knowledge of Canadian Payroll Tax Calculations and CRA Compliance
- Proficiency with SQL, MS Excel
- Excellent communication skills required. Ability to select the most appropriate method of communication and to clearly prepare a variety of business communications, e.g. Business Requirements Documents, Functional Specifications, and project implementation / strategy documents.
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently under the general guidance of the Senior Manager.
- Knowledge of Human Resource practices are required. Knowledge of processes and systems used within Human Resources Information Systems including Payroll are strongly preferred but not required.
