Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
Work in partnership with application owners, a Software Currency Remediation Specialist provides support in the remediation of software currency exposures. Ensuring that application owners are managing their portfolio in accordance with the Software Currency Framework. This includes notice of pending End-of-Life dates, the creation of remediation plans, tracking of the progress and the validation of remediation completion. If the application teams run into challenges/blockers, these items are raised with management. They assist application owners in understanding the software current reporting tools, CMDB, impact of reporting KRI and management indexes. The intention is, to be the trusted source of all things software currency.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with portfolio owners, application teams, and countries in scope. Coaching and support teams through the end-to-end remediation process, ensuring alignment with the enterprise software currency framework.
- Provide clear communication and guidance to application teams, helping them plan proactively before technologies expire.
- Identify and communicate variances in standards to plan owners, providing clear reasoning.
- Update tracking tools and generate reports on progress and issues.
- Act as a bridge between application teams and GTEP/GTS to meet software currency requirements.
- Prepare and support CIO-level meetings to ensure visibility into remediation health and progress.
- Review software currency remediation plans for milestone realism and timeline adherence. Validate that plan end dates are achievable and supported by the plan details.
- Seek opportunities to improve efficiency in plan validation and reporting.
- Enhance reporting insights and performance to support informed decision-making.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Minimum Collage Diploma or University Degree
- Minimum two-year experience in technology role
- Strong communication, active listening and relationship building skills; as well as the ability to adapt. This role will involve communications to both executives and technical team members
- Understanding of the concepts and skills required for project management
- Understanding of technology terminology
- Customer-centric environment with a focus on negotiation skills
- Good understanding of Microsoft Excel
