The Relationship Manager, Contingent Workforce Management is responsible for supporting the overall success of Scotiabank’s external workforce program globally. Reporting to the Senior Relationship Manager, this role provides service, guidance, and oversight to Business Line leaders and senior stakeholders, ensuring contingent workforce activities are delivered in compliance with Bank policies, regulatory requirements, and risk standards.

 

The Relationship Manager partners closely with internal stakeholders and the managed services provider to enhance the stakeholder experience, manage escalations, and strengthen governance, reporting, and overall program effectiveness. This role operates as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor for the contingent workforce program, engaging regularly with Director‑level and above stakeholders.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

  • Champion a customer‑focused culture to deepen relationships with Business Line leaders and senior stakeholders, leveraging broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the contingent workforce program by executing individual goals, plans, and initiatives aligned to team and enterprise strategies.
  • Act as a key escalation point for Business Lines, providing advisory support and guidance on contingent workforce governance, policy interpretation, and program adherence.
  • Ensure all compliance, governance, and financial requirements are met for the contingent workforce program, suppliers, and external workers.
  • Proactively engage with Business Lines, participating in external workforce activities, workforce planning, and ongoing program discussions.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships across all levels of the organization, including presenting to and engaging Director, VP, and occasional SVP‑level stakeholders.
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of dashboards and metrics; leverage data and insights to consult with stakeholders on trends, risks, and opportunities to improve external workforce management.
  • In partnership with the managed services provider, identify and recommend changes to processes and policies; manage day‑to‑day issues and escalations by liaising with appropriate internal teams.
  • Stay informed of regulatory and policy changes impacting contingent workforce management and proactively advise stakeholders on business implications.
  • Provide oversight for internal client support, communication materials, change management, and promotion of external workforce initiatives.
  • Support and deliver training and enablement sessions for internal stakeholders, contributing to education and adoption of the contingent workforce program.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day‑to‑day activities and decision‑making.
  • Champion a high‑performance environment and contribute to an inclusive, collaborative, and professional workplace.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have:

 

  • Experience in Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Policy, Risk Management, or program / vendor management, with strong data, reporting, and analytics capability.
  • Experience interpreting policy, governance frameworks, and analytics to support consultative discussions with the business.
  • Experience creating or leveraging dashboards and metrics; Power BI experience is considered an asset.
  • SAP Fieldglass experience, considered an asset.
  • Bank and/or global industry experience.
  • Knowledge of the contingent workforce industry and evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Strong experience working with diverse stakeholders across all organizational levels, including executive‑level interaction and presentations.
  • Experience designing and delivering training or information sessions to targeted or large audiences.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a polished and professional presence.
  • Strong understanding of organizational structure, complexity, and stakeholder dynamics.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with sound judgment and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Bilingual Spanish capability, considered a strong asset.
