The QA Lead within the Integration Solutions Team will be accountable for quality assurance efforts across all automation initiatives. You will lead a team of quality assurance professionals and be responsible for defining testing strategies, managing test execution, and ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.  This role demands strong expertise in testing methodologies, and automation tools, along with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • QA Leadership & Strategy
    • Lead a team of quality assurance professionals.
    • Define and manage end-to-end QA strategies for automation and software projects.
    • Act as a quality ambassador, ensuring alignment on testing goals across teams.
  • Test Planning & Execution
    • Collaborate with Business Analysts and Developers to interpret requirements and translate them into comprehensive test plans and acceptance criteria.
    • Lead test execution across functional, regression, integration, and system testing phases.
    • Support and guide User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test data preparation and execution oversight.
  • Defect Management & Quality Control
    • Oversee defect lifecycle management using tools such as Jira, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.
    • Promote early testing and defect prevention strategies throughout the development lifecycle.
    • Participate in retrospectives and root cause analysis to improve QA processes and reduce defect leakage.
  • Technical Testing & Validation
    • Perform advanced API testing using Postman and RestAssured, validating RESTful and GraphQL endpoints.
    • Conduct backend data validation and ensure data integrity across integrated systems.
    • Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps initiatives.
  • Governance, Reporting & Documentation
    • Provide risk-based recommendations for release approvals based on test outcomes.
    • Maintain QA documentation including test cases, scripts, and knowledge repositories.
    • Communicate test progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders at all levels.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?  We’d love to work with you if you have:   

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in software QA, with a focus on automation and enterprise systems.
  • Automation testing experience with tools like selenium, UiPath test Suite will be considered as an asset.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, UiPath, and Pega OpenSpan will be an Asset.
  • Strong knowledge of API testing protocols including REST, GraphQL, Postman, and RestAssured.
  • Proficiency in manual and automated testing techniques.
  • Solid understanding of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Certifications (preferred but not mandatory):
  • ISTQB Certified Tester
  • UiPath Certified RPA Associate
