The Team
The Global Employee Technology (GET) team develops and manages innovative products designed to support the ever-changing threat landscape. We work in close partnership with our Corporate Security, Fraud Business and key Technology Partners throughout Scotiabank to drive technology on a global basis. We are key team members within Enterprise Technology to ensure business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
The Role
We are seeking an energetic, self-starter willing to take on a challenge! This position will deliver against ongoing and new initiatives and support our Corporate Security (CS) and Enterprise Case Management solution system that is widely used and integrated with the different line of businesses across Scotiabank. CS uses Splunk application to enable seamless digital fraud investigation for more timely proactive fraud risk mitigation efforts. This allows the Bank to streamline and automate the investigative process and generate real time alerts. Splunk application is also integrated with the Enterprise case management system that is used to generate Incident Reports and/cases for further investigations. In addition, the Enterprise case management system is a centralized case management system for tracking and reporting on cyber and physical security incidents and investigations involving key global stakeholders; including Information Security & Control (IS&C), Corporate Security, Fraud, Privacy and Audit.
The incumbent is responsible, through independent contribution to manage, test, and coordinate end to end integration with Splunk, the case management system and other integrations that are used by our business partners. Other systems included but not limited to: ACI Proactive Risk Manager (PRM), QRadar, Digital Courier (Pega)
Participate in multiple projects or sections of large projects and providing ongoing support to all assigned units.
Work with stakeholders and vendor to plan, strategize, execute and resolution of issues identified in testing phase to ensure product are delivered according to business requirement.

Some of the key accountabilities include:
- Work closely with Development team, Business System Analysts, business stakeholders and vendors to create a detailed, comprehensive test plans/strategies and test cases.
- Estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating quality testing activities.
- Ensure proper version control and configuration management of all test objects developed and test environments used.
- Research and document bug reports following agreed-upon processes immediately upon discovery of a quality problem.
- Update test execution status following agreed-upon processes as part of regularly scheduled test status updates.
- Trace test cases and results back to specific quality risks.
- Perform other related duties as required.
What You Will Bring to Succeed
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
- Working experience with manual, regression, and automation testing.
- Working knowledge of Automated Testing tools and Frameworks.
- Working experience in Agile methodology and Scrum framework.
- Working knowledge with SQL queries
- Knowledge of SDLC, Quality Assurance concepts, methodologies, and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills, have vision and innovative approach in resolving production issues, incidents, and the ability to convey them to our internal and external stakeholders.
- Must be flexible to adapt to a dynamic environment, make quick and sound decisions under pressure.
- Must be reliable, pro-active, results-oriented, customer-focused, and attentive to details.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills
- Integrating 3rd party vendor products experience
Nice to have
- Working experience with Gherkin framework, Atlassian suit, Confluence, JIRA and Bit bucket
- Experience with working with local and remote teams.
- Previous experience from other FI
