The PLATO team is comprised of engineers, problem solvers, agilists and creatives in roles such as Enterprise Platform Engineering and Architecture, Enterprise Data Services, Cloud Infrastructure and Architecture, Product Engineering, and Product Management. Together, the team provides the platform that enables the Bank to deliver transformative experiences that help our 24 million customers become better off.

About the Product Owner:

  • Collaborate with product manager, product stakeholders, and lead engineers to deliver new business value.
  • Translate product directives and document detailed user stories, effectively representing customer needs.
  • Author, refine and approve backlog items, with clearly articulated acceptance criteria
  • Serve as the primary source of external information for the scrum team, offering clear definitions of the targeted capability and the intended value to the customer
  • Work hands-on with the scrum team to prioritize, plan, and deliver software that meets requirements
  • Sign off on the acceptance criteria as new development are marked as completed and document release notes


You’ll need to have:


  • Bachelor's degree (e.g. computer science, engineering, or equivalent).
  • 5+ years of product owner or development experience.
  • A deep understanding of modern development practices like Agile & Scrum.
  • Technical knowledge with understanding of systems, design, architecture, information security.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to define requirements and the value to customer.
  • Must have exceptional communication, organization, time management skills, and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to design and turn ambiguity into clarity in a fast-changing environment.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
  • Team player and capable of thinking outside the box.
  • Professional, responsive and a positive work attitude.


It would be cool if you were also:

  • MBA or Masters in a technical field (e.g. computer science, engineering, or equivalent).
  • Experienced with service oriented architecture (SOA) or micro services.
  • Experienced with cloud platform.
  • Experienced in the banking or financial industry.
  • Eager to mentor, teach and share.
