The Role:

 

The Principal Security Product Owner defines and drives the product strategy for security products across the enterprise. This role owns the product roadmap, translates risk into prioritized security capabilities, and partners across engineering, architecture, legal, and governance teams to deliver security products. The ideal candidate has strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, to understand and consolidate organizational security requirement; govern and guide the delivery of next generation security products through large-scale transformation; develop and maintain a shared product framework including strategy, roadmap, budgeting, and processes in collaborate with engineering, architecture, operation, and control function teams.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will: 

 

  • Understand and define the objectives and scope of security products, clearly outline the problems, and risks it's solving.
  • Define the product strategy, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, define MVP and rollout plan
  • Build and maintain product vision roadmaps and facilitate communication on roadmap progress with executive level stakeholders and clients
  • Manage and prioritize with a risk-based approach on the product backlog, new features, and enhancements
  • Facilitate forums and prepare the team for constructive collaboration sessions with cross-functional teams, technology and business channels, and control functions
  • Develop business cases based on the roadmap and priority, align with Technology, PMO, and Finance teams on the funding required, cost and benefit analysis, and cost allocation model
  • Define and report on overall product status, metrics, key achievements, next steps and risks with a data-driven approach

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

 

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required
  • 10+ years’ experience in a Product Management (or equivalent) capacity required
  • 7+ years’ experience in Information Security or Information Technology
  • 3+ years’ experience in working with Regulatory, Compliance, Risk and Audit functions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Leadership through influence across multiple types of stakeholders
  • Strong planning and organizational skills; can manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Experience in the information security industry and with security software products
  • Excellent understanding on financial principles of large enterprise organization
  • Experience in working with complex processes
  • Willingness to learn and grow, and demonstrate resilience to ever-changing priorities
