Title: Principal Data Integration Engineer
Requisition ID: 262549
Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.
Join a purpose-driven, high-performing team committed to innovation and impact. We are seeking a visionary Principal Integration Engineer with strong expertise in integration architecture, microservices, and Java-based platforms to lead the evolution of our enterprise data ecosystem. This role is pivotal in shaping a modern, API-driven, event-based architecture that integrates data, AI, and business systems at scale—ensuring resilience, flexibility, and operational excellence.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Define and drive the enterprise data engineering vision, with a strong focus on microservices-enabled and event-driven architectures.
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable data platforms and integration layers using Java-based microservices frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring Cloud).
- Design and implement enterprise integration patterns (API gateways, service mesh, message queues, orchestration frameworks).
- Build loosely coupled, reusable data services to expose data assets across domains in a secure and governed manner.
- Partner with AI/ML teams to enable scalable data delivery for model training, RAG pipelines, and intelligent agents.
- Champion secure API design, zero-trust architecture, and compliance best practices across distributed systems.
- Lead the adoption of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for microservices, including containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Mentor senior engineers and influence architecture governance and engineering standards across the organization.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering, with strong expertise in integration architecture and microservices design.
- Deep hands-on experience with Java (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud) and building high-performance distributed systems.
- Proven ability to design event-driven and API-first architectures at enterprise scale.
- Strong experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Pub/Sub) and asynchronous integration patterns.
- Expertise in building end-to-end data platforms supporting AI/ML use cases, including RAG and feature stores.
- Experience integrating across heterogeneous systems (legacy, cloud, SaaS) using modern integration frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and service mesh architectures.
- Familiarity with API management, security (OAuth, JWT), and gateway solutions.
- Deep understanding of data quality, governance, lineage, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Strong cloud experience across Azure and GCP, with emphasis on distributed, cloud-native design.
- Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional architecture initiatives and engineering excellence.
- A track record of mentoring and leading high-performing engineering teams.
