Client Portfolio Manager – Growth Equities

Key Accountabilities

·     Serve as the client-facing investment representative for the Growth Equities Investment Team

·     Partner with the investment team across all aspects of Client Portfolio Management, including articulating the investment philosophy, process, portfolio positioning, investment themes, performance drivers, and results

·     Communicate portfolio decisions, market insights, and investment messaging for both existing and new strategies

·     Work closely with institutional and retail clients in a relationship management capacity, participating in client meetings and reviews, addressing performance and positioning questions, and helping clients understand how strategies fit within their portfolios

·     Contribute to asset growth through participation in prospect meetings, due diligence sessions, and conferences with institutional investors, consultants, and advisors (both IIROC and MFDA channels). Present investment strategies and support business development initiatives

·     Prepare and support requests for proposals (RFPs), consultant questionnaires, and other materials required for institutional and advisor distribution channels ·     Communicate performance results, equity market insights, and research perspectives through written and verbal channels, including commentaries, attribution analysis, portfolio updates, and market outlook presentations

·     Conduct market and competitive analysis, tracking industry trends, opportunities, and risks to support product positioning and messaging

·     Develop and manage investment-related materials, including presentations, pitch materials, and consultant documentation, ensuring a high degree of accuracy and consistency

·     Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, Marketing, Compliance, Legal, Distribution, and Risk Management teams to ensure the consistent and accurate delivery of investment messaging across channels

 

Qualifications

·     Bachelor’s degree required; MBA and/or CFA preferred

·     5–7 years of experience in asset management, ideally as a CPM, product manager, portfolio specialist, or in a similar role

·     Strong knowledge of equity markets, investment strategies, and the broader investment landscape, with a focus on growth investing

·     Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and writing skills

·     Strong analytical capabilities, including the ability to interpret performance results, attribution, and portfolio risk metrics

·     Understanding of the sales and relationship management processes within an asset management organization

·     Ability to balance client needs with internal business priorities

·     Strong technical proficiency and familiarity with industry-related software and databases Preferred Background

·     Experience as a Client Portfolio Manager or product specialist

·     Expertise working across institutional and retail distribution channels

·     Background working within an institutional asset management organization

·     Self-starter capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with multiple stakeholders
