The National Services, Portfolio Administrator’s predominant responsibilities are to ensure accurate setup of New Accounts, Closings and Maintenance are processed within PIC Mpower. The incumbent will liaise, provide verification and support, to/with various internal and external partners (Advisor Teams, Reconciliations, Portfolio Ops. etc.) on a regular basis. The incumbent is expected to be able to identify potential opportunities and resolution of the PIC Accounts on Mpower desk issues and utilize supplementary information from Thomson Reuters and other pricing sources for comparison/validation purposes.

 Opening and Closing PIC Accounts on Mpower

  • Ensure and validate that required PIC Account Openings obtained through Wealthone and Sharepoint platforms are setup accurately and SLA’s are maintained for a better client experience
  • Responsible for monitoring queues on Sharepoint for all Maintenance of existing Mpower Accounts and actioning them accordingly
  • Responsible for reviewing the daily Maintenance group in box ensuring requests are accurately updated in Mpower in a timely manner
  • Processing mass spreadsheets provided by Advisor teams manually on Mpower ensuring accuracy and in a timely accordance with quarterly statement runs
  • Monitor the day to day processes and investigate and delegate any issues accordingly
  • Accountable for month end stats and ensuring accurate numbers are reflected to ensure proper information is reported for all Openings/Closings and Maintenance requests from Advisor teams
  • Set working priorities autonomously or as part of operations team ensuring both deadlines are met for both standard and rush assignments
  • Maintain direct adherence to the company and Bank security procedures.
  • Performance of other duties as assigned which will enhance the units support capabilities and success


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed?


  • 3-5 years of operations experiences and an in-depth understanding of the Canadian Investment Industry.
  • Must be highly motivated with good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written, to provide client support and maintain documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize errors and ensure accurate results
  • Must be proficient in excel
  • Duties are to be conducted in accordance with Bank Standards and manual instructions
  • Sound knowledge of systems/application and computer technology and strong Excel knowledge
