The Global Finance – Platform Engineering Team plays critical role in architectural design, installation, configuration and support of Oracle Finance & Reporting applications.
The Platform specialist would be responsible to provide platform & application support to address complex Oracle applications like OBIEE, E-Business Suite, OFSAA issues across the different programs and line of business units.
We are seeking a highly skilled and automation-driven Oracle Platform Specialist to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring over 9 years of experience in managing enterprise middleware environments, with deep expertise in Oracle WebLogic, SOA Suite, and automation tools like Ansible. This role is critical to ensuring secure, scalable, and high-availability operations across both cloud and on-premises platforms.
In this role you will:
- Extensive experience with OBIEE, OFSAA and E-Business Suite to holds overall accountability for technical delivery and implementation of projects involving installation, configuration and support
- Facilitate effective architecture governance through strategic conversations with customers and internal teams, articulating best practices and providing actionable inputs on deploying, integrating and consuming our data foundation and applications. Also, provide recommendations on standards surrounding systems architecture
- Provide technical expertise, guidance, advice and knowledge transfer to all other team members in all aspects of application management. Provide recommendations on departmental standards surrounding systems architecture, application development, systems integration, and data modeling
- Support platforms with build/configuration/road-map/integrations/support to improve efficiencies with automatic code deployments through Dev-ops performance tuning, parallel and real-time processing for batch, server and application patching
- Provide production and user acceptance testing support to complex technical issues by analyzing problems, implementing solutions and developing new procedures surrounding support
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
- 9+ years of experience in Oracle middleware technologies including WebLogic, SOA Suite, ODI, and OAS.
- Proven expertise in automation using Ansible and Unix shell scripting.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (OCI, AWS) and hybrid infrastructure models.
- Experience with database platforms: Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on experience with SSL certificate installation, patch sequencing, and security compliance.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and integration practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Must have experience with cloning, patching and installation of Oracle Applications to enable business integration between heterogeneous applications
- Good understanding of Fusion Middleware Stack (WebLogic 12c), high-availability configuration, Weblogic patching and troubleshooting issues with Weblogic
