Who We Are:

In Operations, we provide the mission-critical support for all of our business-units, customers, and various banking operations in Canada, the United States, Latin America, Europe and Asia (you know… everywhere)!


We are a crucial part of the business and we are experts in all things ops including smart automation, governance, procurement, structural cost transformation, retail service centre, business service centre, corporate services, fraud management, collections, customer contact centres and more!


Your Work Term at a Glance:


During your term, you’ll gain experience with accounting procedures and support operations, while strengthening your customer service skill set and expanding your operational knowledge.


Structural Cost Transformation (SCT) is another exciting group, providing a well-rounded view of the entire organization, while allowing you to gain practical experience working on high-impact projects within Finance and Operations


As a co-op or intern in Operations, you will be part of a cohort of co-op students joining Scotiabank at the same time. You will come together for a bank-wide Student Welcome event, to learn more about Scotiabank and gain exposure to senior leadership across the organization. We are a relationship Bank, and we encourage you to engage your fellow co-ops; network and join the co-op Social Committee to facilitate gatherings for your peers, get to know individuals who inspire you to think big, who will mentor and support you along the way and will play a crucial role in your career journey!


You’ll also have access to skill-building modules, as well as challenging work-integrated learnings - all of which come together to create a stimulating environment where you will have the chance to thrive. We want you to be a sponge and take it all in, bring your great attitude, always be authentic, and own every opportunity that comes your way. This is your time to shine.



You Are:

This is for students enrolled in an MBA/Masters or Undergrad degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting or related discipline, and who are part of an accredited co-op program. You are well-suited for this role if you are analytical, a critical thinker, both self-directed and collaborative, with strong organizational and problem solving skills. You’re also a fast learner who thrives who is customer-service driven, great with people and loves building relationships.
