Scotiabank’s Global Technology Enterprise Platform (GTEP) – Engineering and Architecture team within Global Network Engineering (GNET) is responsible for the planning, implementation, and ongoing management of network tool solutions across the Bank’s global environment. The team ensures network tools are optimized to support monitoring, performance management, troubleshooting, and overall network stability, while enabling future growth and enhancements.
Reporting directly to the hiring manager, you will play a critical role in supporting and maintaining network tools and systems. This role is primarily focused on ensuring system stability, software and version currency, and operational effectiveness of assigned network tools.
You will be responsible for system support, upgrades, maintenance, and restoration activities as required, as well as ensuring audit readiness and supporting reporting and logging capabilities. You will also contribute to documenting processes, maintaining APM and CMDB data, and supporting additional network tools as needed.

- You have strong relationship-building skills and are client-focused when interacting with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- You have 6+ years of experience working with network tools and systems in large, complex environments.
- You have experience with network monitoring and performance tools such as NetBrain, AlgoSec, SevOne, ExtraHop, or ThousandEyes.
- You have a working knowledge of network technologies including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and next-generation network infrastructure.
- You are familiar with routing protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF.
- You have experience participating in and delivering network projects, including planning, design, and implementation.
- You have strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- You are proficient in creating technical documentation, network assessments, and cost estimates based on business requirements.
- You possess strong communication skills and can effectively engage with senior management and key stakeholders.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related networking technology field.
- Cisco certifications are considered an asset.
- Bilingual (Spanish and English) communication skills are required.
