Join Scotiabank’s Global Brand & Customer Insights (GBCI) team and contribute to Canadian and international mandates that drive strategic decisions across the Scotiabank Group of Companies. In this role, you’ll help shape research initiatives that inform business strategies, ensuring all activities align with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Champion a customer-first culture to strengthen client relationships and leverage the Bank’s global expertise.
  • Lead and support research projects from design to delivery, including:
      • Developing proposals, methodologies, timelines, and quotas.
      • Creating questionnaires, sample plans, recruitment screeners, and moderator guides.
      • Managing end-to-end execution with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze and interpret data using tools such as SPSS and cross-tab analysis for quantitative research.
  • Deliver actionable insights through clear, compelling reports and presentations that influence decision-making.
  • Communicate research findings via presentations, GBCI Hub updates, town halls, and global marketing forums.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to understand business needs and standardize research processes for consistency and efficiency.
  • Manage vendor relationships by engaging external research partners, ensuring projects are on time and on budget, and exploring innovative methodologies.
  • Foster a high-performance, inclusive culture aligned with Scotiabank’s values—accountability, passion, integrity, and respect—while maintaining strong risk and compliance practices.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

 

  • A university degree in commerce, mathematics, computer science, or a related field.
  • Market Research certification or specialized qualitative training (e.g., Qualitative Research Associate designation) is an asset.
  • 5+ years of experience in market research (client or vendor side), with expertise in both qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to uncover insights and tell a compelling story through data.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with SPSS and Qualtrics is desirable.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight timelines.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.
