Purpose
The Manager leads a loan operations team, delivering quality administrative services to European Corporate Clients for credit facilities generated by GBM and other BNS units. This role involves supervising Assistant Managers and Analysts, ensuring timely and accurate execution of administrative duties, meeting productivity targets, and maintaining operational controls.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Foster a customer-focused culture to strengthen client relationships.
- Manage the administration of agented syndicated and participated credit facilities, including limit management and loan disbursement/settlement.
- Ensure adherence to terms and conditions of authorized credits and loan documentation.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external parties to resolve issues promptly.
- Escalate policy and procedure exceptions to Senior Manager/Director.
- Develop knowledge of loan platforms (ACBS, Loan IQ) for accurate accounting entries.
- Assist in team-related tasks, exception resolution, and special projects.
- Monitor team productivity, staffing, and work volume, reporting to Senior Manager weekly.
- Provide ongoing guidance and coaching to team members.
- Consider the Bank’s risk appetite and culture in daily activities and decisions.
- Ensure effective operations and adherence to business controls for operational, regulatory compliance, AML/ATF, and conduct risks.
- Build a high-performance environment, fostering an inclusive work culture and managing succession and development planning.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:
- University degree in finance or business-related studies or equivalent.
- Experience in corporate lending services, including cash flow lending, asset-based lending, acquisition and leveraged financing, equipment financing, and project finance
- Knowledge of the UK Loan Markets.
