As a member of the Global Credit Provisions Reporting & Planning team, contributes to the overall success of the Global Credit Provisions team who are accountable for establishing prudent levels of loan loss allowances (ACL) for the Global portfolios.

 

The incumbent will be responsible for the aggregation of Global Credit ACL and Provision for Credit Losses (PCL) within controlled environment to support financial booking and disclosure processes and monthly planning and forecasting exercises.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Consolidate, validate, and analyze Global Credit Provisions metrics for monthly and quarterly reporting, leveraging data analytics and automated controls aligned with the Bank’s end user control (EUC) directive.
  • Support ACL and Provision for Credit Losses forecasting and planning processes through data extraction, modelling, variance analysis, scenario assessment, and automation of recurring reporting activities.
  • Support quarterly financial disclosure process by preparing, validating, and analyzing ACL and PCL data, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and alignment with IFRS 9 and internal control requirements.
  • Identify, design, and implement process improvements using AI-enabled tools, automation technologies, and data analytics to streamline reporting, reconciliation, forecasting, controls, and dashboard development.
  • Develop and maintain provisions metrics dashboards and management reporting tools to provide timely insights into ACL, PCL, portfolio trends, key drivers, and control indicators.
  • Keep up-to-date on provision methodology and be knowledgeable of IFRS9 accounting standard.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have: 

  • University degree in business (finance, accounting) and quantitative (data science, analytics, mathematics, statistics) field.
  • Experience applying AI-enabled tools, automation technologies, and data analytics to improve processes.
  • A minimum of 3 years progressive experience in Credit Risk and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in SAS, SQL, Python, and VBA, with experience extracting, transforming, validating, and analyzing large datasets to support reporting, forecasting, and automation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of current industry trends, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
  • Familiar with the Bank's General Ledger and / or has experience with preparing financial note disclosures
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI, including dashboard development, data visualization, and preparation of senior management presentations.
  • Sound project and time management skills; strong organizational and prioritization skills; effective communication skills, both verbal and written
