The Manager, eGRC Governance & Reporting supports the delivery of governance processes, reporting, and change management activities for the eGRC Program. Contributes to the overall success of the eGRC Governance and Reporting team in Global Risk Management in Canada/globally, ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Reporting to the Senior Manager, this role executes hands on coordination, analysis, documentation, and team administration to ensure governance routines run smoothly and stakeholders receive accurate, timely information and support.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Maintains governance documentation, templates, decision logs, and version control, and supports governance processes by preparing agendas, materials, minutes, and action logs, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and smooth coordination.
  • Coordinates cross functional inputs, summarizes feedback, escalates issues as needed, and executes recurring governance routines, reporting cycles, and data refreshes, while also responding to stakeholder inquiries to provide timely and accurate governance and reporting support.
  • Support cross functional coordination by gathering contributions, reviewing impacts, capturing stakeholder input, and managing the intake form and preliminary triage review to inform eGRC deliverables, risks, and priorities.
  • Maintains governance KPIs, dashboards, and trackers by consolidating data and conducting basic analysis to highlight trends or risks, while also drafting communications, stakeholder updates, FAQs, and supporting logistics for training, demos, and readiness activities.
  • Performs team administration activities, including managing calendars, distribution lists, folder structures, onboarding tasks, access requests, and other coordination activities to support smooth team operations.
  • Support ad hoc program needs by delivering, materials, and change related deliverables in response to evolving priorities and stakeholder requirements.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience in a consulting firm, finance or banking industry. Risk management experience is considered an asset.
  • Project and program management skills with the ability to operate in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Analytical and planning capabilities
  • Relationship management and collaboration skills, able to work effectively across business lines, technology teams, and control functions.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal communication.
  • Experience with enterprise change management for transformation initiatives.
  • Understanding of regulatory environments, data governance, and technical platforms supporting GRC functions.
  • Familiarity with platforms, such as Jira, Clarity, OpenPages, and ServiceNow.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate, PowerBI.
