Purpose
The Global Working Capital Solutions Product Manager contributes to the overall success of Trade & Working Capital Solutions products across Canada and international markets. The role supports the end-to-end product lifecycle, including product development, approvals, implementation, and ongoing management, ensuring alignment with business strategy, client needs, and regulatory requirements.
The incumbent ensures all initiatives are executed in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and control frameworks, while promoting operational efficiency and a strong client-focused culture.
What You'll be doing:
Client Focus & Stakeholder Management
• Champion a customer-centric culture to enable deepening of client relationships and enhance the client experience across Trade & Working Capital Solutions
• Support the development of solutions that leverage broader Bank capabilities, systems, and relationships
• Partner with Sales and coverage teams to ensure product relevance, effective market positioning and progress along Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Partner with internal stakeholders and relevant risk functions to ensure appropriate controls are in place such that Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) are in line with bank standards.
Product Development & Innovation
• Support the identification, evaluation, and design of new Trade & Working Capital Solutions , initiatives, and structures
• Conduct market analysis, feasibility assessments, and contribute to defining product requirements and value propositions
• Assist in shaping product strategy in alignment with global and regional priorities
Product Approvals & Governance
• Support the preparation of product approval documentation, including business cases, risk assessments, and operating models
• Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders (Risk, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Operations, Technology) to ensure timely approvals
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date product documentation, policies, and procedures
Product Implementation & Execution
• Support the development and execution of implementation plans for new products and enhancements
• Ensure operational readiness, including processes, controls, training, and system enablement
• Assist in go-live activities, issue resolution, and post-implementation stabilization
Product Management & Ongoing Support
• Support existing and new Trade & Working Capital Solutions, ensuring effective delivery and scalability
• Monitor product performance through KPIs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Provide subject matter expertise to internal stakeholders across regions and business lines
Risk, Compliance & Controls
• Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with operational risk, compliance, AML/ATF, sanctions, and conduct requirements
• Support embedding controls-by-design within product processes and frameworks
• Contribute to audit readiness, issue resolution, and remediation of control gaps
Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement
• Drive efficiency through process optimization, standardization, and automation opportunities
• Ensure effective day-to-day business controls and adherence to internal policies and frameworks
Culture & Leadership
• Contribute to a high-performance, inclusive work environment
• Actively demonstrate alignment with the Bank’s Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles
• Collaborate effectively across global teams and functions
Qualifications & Experience
• University degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
• Industry qualifications on Trade & Working Capital Solutions will be an asset
• 10 years Experience within a financial institution, in Trade Finance, Supply Chain Finance/Working Capital Solutions
• Exposure to product management, product development, or program delivery is an asset
• Fluency in Spanish and French, alongside English, would be an asset
• Experience in Supply Chain Finance technology systems
• Experience in Traditional Trade Finance would be an asset
• Strong understanding of Trade Finance and Working Capital Solutions , structures, and delivery channels
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., AML/ATF, sanctions, operational risk)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to operate in a global, matrixed environment with multiple priorities
• Geographic Scope: Global (Canada, International Banking, and GBM)
• Stakeholder Engagement: Cross-functional collaboration with Product, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations, Technology, and Sales teams
• Impact: Supports product strategy execution, client experience enhancement, and risk-compliant product delivery across multiple jurisdictions
