As the Manager, Strategic Programs Design, you will have an exciting opportunity to accelerate our growth in the retail customer space by contributing to organizational alignment on the strategic direction to drive acquisition, deepen relationships and retain clients. The outcome of these customer-centric strategies will optimize our revenue opportunities, increase satisfaction, and drive long term loyalty with our customers. This role is tailored to someone who is a self-starter, who demonstrates thought leadership, accountability and has excellent relationship management skills.

 
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Contribute to the development of innovative and effective strategies to drive acquisition and deepen existing relationships for Retail Customer Growth programs that will drive optimal ROI and enhance Customer Life-time Value. This will be achieved by exploring and recommending solutions to complex problems using a strategic approach.
  • Help drive the creation and execution of strategic initiatives that introduce innovative enhancements by developing future-looking recommendations and strategies, building presentation decks, data analysis, and supporting / facilitating cross-functional working sessions.
  • Lead the design and development of new processes that change how the bank operates and supports the sustainment of strategic programs in both pilot and steady state phases.
  • Contribute to the achievement of defined targets that accelerate customer growth or drive new revenue streams by performing necessary analysis, test/learn opportunities, and help create sound business justification for strategic approach.
  • Actively promote a customer focused culture throughout the team and with our partners to attract and deepen customer relationships and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Be accountable for attaining targets associated with programs and initiatives including Primary Banking relationship, and effectively managing and prioritizing amongst multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Ensure all customer strategies are designed to support the broader Scotiabank business strategies, and ensure roadmaps, plans and initiatives are developed and executed in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
     

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • 3+ years of management experience; retail banking products focused experience is a strong asset
  • Strong planning and project implementation experience, with a proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and meet tight timelines
  • Strong understanding of customer strategy, development and delivery, with a customer-focused orientation
  • Strong ability to partner with business lines and leaders, facilitating discussions to align on objectives and strategic plans
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and leverage multiple sources of direct and indirect data to build competitive intelligence and focus on the most critical business issues
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong strategic thinking, service design, results-focused and curious mindset
  • Experience analyzing data, including the use of Excel, to support with driving business decisions
  • Ability to exercise sound business judgement
  • Comfortability working in a hybrid work environment
