Purpose

The Manager, Specialized Programs and Client Strategies plays a critical role in supporting the development and managing the execution and sustainment of key initiatives and programs that drive engagement and growth of Scotia Wealth Management (SWM) Total Wealth offering. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Specialized Programs and Client Strategies, the Manager collaborates across teams to deliver client-focused solutions, manage key operational tasks, and provide insights to strengthen the Total Wealth strategy. This role directly contributes to the Practice Excellence team’s mandate of providing training, practice management and analytics solutions that are aligned to SWM’s strategic priorities.
 

Accountabilities

1. Works closely with the Senior Manager and Practice Excellence team to deliver Total Wealth to priority client segments:

  • Take ownership of the execution and sustainment of specialized programs such as The Scotiabank Women Initiative and other targeted initiatives and events, ensuring alignment with the Total Wealth strategy and diverse client community needs.
  • Manage the sponsorship funding process, including initial assessments, compliance checks, and preparing recommendations for Senior Manager review and decision-making.
  • Oversee and maintain program-related communication channels such as the shared email inbox and internal newsletters.
  • Deliver program initiatives that empower in-field teams and align with business development goals, including creating and updating training resources, tools, and templates.
  • Analyze program metrics and propose actionable insights to improve program outcomes and align with organizational priorities.
     

2. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Client Solutions and Practice Excellence, to:

  • Ensure seamless delivery of Client Solutions programs through effective communication, resource optimization, and stakeholder management.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of training and coaching programs to enhance advisor/relationship manager engagement with Total Wealth strategies.
  • Promote collaboration by coordinating and facilitating forums and events for peer sharing and professional development among in-field teams.
  • Foster strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance program execution and strategic alignment.
  • Act as a liaison between program stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and coordination across working teams.
     

3. Supports operational excellence by:

  • Refining workflows for sponsorship funding requests, shared inbox management, and website updates to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Providing regular and timely reporting on program performance, and aligning metrics with broader strategic goals and insights from leadership.
  • Managing operational workflows and ensuring compliance with Scotiabank policies, including those related to risk management and regulatory adherence.
     

4. Builds a client-focused culture by:

  • Championing initiatives that deepen client and advisor relationships while promoting inclusivity and diverse perspectives across all programs.
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of Total Wealth initiatives to enhance the advisor and client experience and enable primary client growth.
  • Contributing to a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and client-focused excellence.
     

Education / Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in program management, financial services, or a related field.
  • University degree or equivalent in business, communications, or a related discipline.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in stakeholder engagement and operational support.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g. SharePoint, Airtable, Workfront) and data analysis techniques.
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented individual with a proven ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
  • A collaborative mindset and experience working across business lines and/or with in-field teams to drive program success.
  • Bilingual in English and French, Spanish, or Mandarin is an asset.
