The Manager, Retail Mutual Funds Business Initiatives supports the delivery of Scotia Securities Inc.’s (SSI) business strategy by providing hands‑on leadership in the planning, coordination, and execution oversight of new and ongoing high‑impact business‑enabling initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Retail Mutual Funds Business Initiatives, this role focuses on translating strategic direction into structured plans, execution discipline, and transparent reporting to support effective delivery.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

• Manage and support the Senior Manager in the delivery and execution oversight of assigned initiatives, considering key aspects including planning, scheduling, resourcing, risk assessment, cost/benefit analysis, time and cost estimates, and review of project work
• Support multiple concurrent initiatives, including business‑wide and business‑specific initiatives impacting SSI, Scotia Financial Planning (SFP), and Canadian Banking Retail Investments, to gather requirements, support solution design, and communicate plans and status updates
• Collaborate with project participants and stakeholders to maintain engagement, align priorities, and ensure initiatives remain on track and escalate material risks and issues with analysis and recommendations as required
• Manage the intake and validation of initiatives within a central repository and maintain accurate and timely reporting to support governance and management oversight
  Track, monitor, and communicate initiative progress against defined milestones, timelines, and deliverables to support timely execution
• Support the development and review of procedures, change management plans and materials, presentations, and other documentation required to enable effective implementation and sustainment of initiatives

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

• 3 plus years’ experience in financial services, preferably in a Wealth Management/Retail Banking Distribution environment
• Project management and change management experience is highly advantageous, along with strong organizational skills to co-ordinate and prioritize several concurrent initiatives
• The ability to develop compelling business cases, including cost benefit analysis
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Power Point, etc.
• Strong relationship and conflict management skills to influence and negotiate effective resolution of issues/disputes with stakeholders
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to effectively present information to relevant stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• The ability to work effectively with limited supervision and under pressure to meet deadlines, balance work priorities and resolve problems in a timely manner
