The Manager, Retail Lending Analytics is responsible for conducting data analytics and measurement to enable Product, Risk-Reward, and Portfolio Management business decisions with an impact on business success and/or customer satisfaction for Scotiabank’s Unsecured Lending portfolio growth and profitability.


 
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will: 

 

  • Manage end-to-end analytics to support business strategies and portfolio performance for unsecured lending products, including ULOC, Personal Loans, and Overdraft Protection. 
  • Support Scotia BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later) initiative and recommend data-driven performance and customer experience. 
  • Grow the customer base by creating more primary customers for the bank through data-driven analytics and strategic partnerships with Business Lines, Risk Management and Channels.
  • Collaborate with Campaign, Marketing and Pricing teams to design customized offers for key campaigns to improve campaign click-through, response rate, and overall profitability
  • Build propensity models and create new or effective ways of targeting customers to maximize the efficiency of acquisition campaign strategies. 
  • Effectively manage and prioritize multiple business initiatives, projects, and ad-hoc analyses with business stakeholders and/or external partners/consultants. 

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?  We’d love to work with you if you have experience with:

 

  • At least 3 years of experience in data analytics for business portfolios, customer profiling, and product PnL in the Finance/Banking industry. 
  • At least 3 years of experience in big data analytics, including statistical analysis (e.g. AB test, time series), AI/ML models (e.g. ML classification, clustering, NLP). 
  • Ability to drive business strategy from inception to implementation, working with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in coding with Python, SQL, SAS, and Spark. 
  • Working knowledge of Google Cloud (GCP, Airflow, Composer) would be an asset. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and executive presentation.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics/Stats, Finance, Business Administration
  • Master in Analytics, quantitative areas - preferred
