The Manager will be part of the Regulatory Risk Management Group within Global Risk Management reporting to the Senior Manager, Regulatory Risk Management. The Manager will work closely with the Senior Managers & Director to design, implement, and execute regulatory programs and activities for the Global Risk Management (GRM) function. The role will support the coordination and implementation of regulatory examination readiness activities, Self-Assessments, OSFI Regulatory Reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley (SoX) attestations and other GRM regulatory programs as assigned.

 

 

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

  •  Supports the execution and ongoing enhancement of GRM regulatory review preparedness activities, ensuring alignment with enterprise risk governance, regulatory expectations, and the Bank's regulatory compliance management objectives.
  • Coordinates regulatory examination readiness activities across GRM, including planning, self-assessments, challenge sessions, evidence management, readiness reporting, and stakeholder deliverables.
  • Supports a strong Self-Identified Issue culture by helping stakeholders identify, document, escalate, and monitor issues through established governance processes.
  • Prepares executive-ready reporting and governance materials, including Steering Committee updates, action trackers, roadmap updates, risk summaries, dependency reporting, and status updates.
  • Supports the coordination of OSFI Regulatory Reporting across GRM.
  • Help to drive a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships across all areas within GRM as well as Enterprise-wide and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Supports the coordination of SoX attestations for GRM Non-Financial Risk Functions.
  • Provide support in coordinating the Annual GRM Self-Assessment.
  • Consolidate and communicate key materials to committees, leadership forums, and other high-profile discussions within the GRM Senior Management Space as well as across the Enterprise more broadly.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Bank’s regulatory programs in GRM as required.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of a risk-based approach to coordinate and oversee GRM regulatory programs. This may include the review of systems, processes, procedures, reports, transactions to assess whether governance, risk management and control processes are operating as intended.
  • Drives stakeholder engagement, management, and alignment across senior management, workstream owners, risk and control partners, governance forums, and regulatory readiness stakeholders.
  • Support GRM multi-jurisdiction teams as it relates to regulatory programs
  • Helps gather, analyze and create reports with various data components
  • Monitor best practices at other financial institutions in Canada and globally
  • Collaborate with other internal stakeholders across the three lines of defence
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
  • Helps drive stakeholder engagement, management and alignment
  • Ensures unresolved issues or matters are escalated
  • Provides ongoing communication and interface with Program stakeholders and ensures timely reporting of status and escalation of issues

 

 

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

 

  •  A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant risk, audit and or professional practice management, or in a related financial services control function.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Finance related professional designation would be an asset.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power BI etc.) preferred. Expert skills would be an asset (ability to build macros, build advanced tools and workflows in SharePoint, etc).
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives across Risk, Compliance, Business, Legal, Regulatory Relations, Operational Risk, Internal Audit, or other stakeholders would be advantageous.
  • Experience developing and presenting decks to stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, written and communication skills are essential to influence and collaborate effectively with others.
  • Prior exposure to a control environment in risk management, compliance, or audit would be advantageous.
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory expectations for the financial services industry.
  • Experience working in a team environment with ability to provide guidance to stakeholders; promoting good communication, objective thinking and cooperation.
  • Spanish language skills would be advantageous.
