Contributes to the overall success of the Global Regulatory Operations & Internal Controls – Non-Financial Risk team ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. The Manager is responsible for supporting Non-Financial Risk team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Non-Financial Risk in providing advisory support and collaborative challenge to Global Operations business units for operational and regulatory compliance risk management practices, to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and operational risk policies, standards and proactive management of top and emerging risks as identified.

- Support the execution and oversight of Non-Financial Risk Programs and projects related to Regulatory Compliance, Operational, and Third-Party Risk Management to Global Operations units, sustaining an expert understanding, but not limited to:
- Operational risk management programs: Operational Risk Events (ORE), Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), Scenario Analysis, Key Risk Indicators KRI and New Initiative Risk Assessment NIRA.
- Regulatory Compliance Management Programs: Regulatory changes and library management, Compliance Risk and Control Assessments, Compliance Monitoring and Oversight, Compliance testing reviews, Business Unit Hierarchy reviews), Regulatory Projects, and Risk Culture.
- Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) and Contract Management (ICERTIS).
- Responsible for driving operational efficiencies, tracking, analysis, monitoring, benchmark, annual planning and delivery activities, establishing best practices for the different NFR programs and projects.
- Liaison with Global Operations unit partners to conduct operational and compliance risk assessments to ensure the adequacy of controls, processes, and protocols to mitigate regulatory, operational risks, and risks of financial loss (i.e. fines, penalties or sanctions) and reputational damage to Global Operations and the Bank while also identifying areas of opportunity to strengthen the control environment and control activities and remain current on new developments and emerging risks.
- Provide guidance and support training delivery needs for NFR programs sustainment. Proactively identifying opportunities to drive activities, documentation, procedures, communications that enable implementation of Non-Financial Risk programs, projects, or policies across Global Operations or Business Lines.
- Analyze data, alerts and results of NFR programs to identify potential gaps, patterns, and trends to prepare clear and comprehensive reporting with actionable recommendations and insightful analysis and commentary. Continuously improve the reporting that support NFR programs and projects.
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
- Lead/support projects, identifying management and compliance needs, communicating findings, implementation of action plans or corrective actions.
- Develop and foster strong strategic relationships with the Global Operations business units and applicable support and control functions to remain current on new developments and emerging risks for the purpose of enhancing business line effectiveness.
- Champions a client’s focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and industry developments.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions, to support the development of strategies and follow up of action plans to strengthen it.

• Bilingual in English/Spanish is an asset.
• Working knowledge of bank's regulations, policies, procedures, operations, and functions.
• Must maintain a current awareness of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in operational and regulatory risks.
• Expert knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio. Power BI is an asset.
• Undergraduate Degree or higher with 5 years relevant work experience in compliance, operational risk management, third party risk management, internal audit or other relevant areas.
