As the Manager, Marketing Design and Optimization, reporting to the Senior Manager Content & Design, you’ll be leading the design, optimization, and innovation for all digital marketing and sales on Scotia Online and our Mobile Banking App. You’ll work closely with the Campaign Managers, and participates in active discussions to identify design opportunities and their related success metrics.

You’ll be the subject matter expert on digital design principles, the customer journey and ensure that global best practices and brand guidelines are properly observed.

Is this role right for you?

  • You’ll be responsible for designing and coding A/B multivariate tests that challenge our understanding of customer’s purchasing patterns to uncover new and previously unforeseen methods of increasing engagement.
  • Actively engage in all design activities related to digital engagement and adoption, digital sales, and any special projects that include a digital advertising component.
  • By using expert research methodologies, you’ll investigate usage patterns in-market and across the industry to analytically compose a composite view of how best to design product pages, application flows, and in general the user experience.
  • Liaise with the vendor representatives as needed to stay well-informed of service enhancements and opportunities to fine-tune operations. You’ll provide technical expertise when opportunities are identified to ensure updates are executed seamlessly with no complications.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with business partners to facilitate a collaborative working environment where learnings from one team can be easily applied to another.
  • Establish a reputation as the subject matter expert to effectively provide technical support and expertise to enhance and expand the reaches of the A/B testing capabilities.
  • Participate in agile squads/sprints as a subject matter expert to help shape and develop new functionality, user experiences, customer journeys and other initiatives to drive online and mobile banking adoption and engagement. 
  • Maintain a complete and well-organized archive of past variant specs and performances.
  • Maintain the team’s content versioning tool, and provides training and assistance as needed.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

  • You’re experienced in marketing design, designing advertising and customer communications in an online environment.
  • You’re well versed in A/B multivariate strategies, principles and tools.
  • You’ve got expert knowledge of design principles and best practices.
  • You’re detail oriented with strong analytical skills
  • You’re fluent in digital technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • University degree in design and design principles is preferred.
