The Manager, Global 2nd Line Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) Corporate Functions & Technology supports the Senior Manager by contributing to the overall success of the Global Third Party Risk Management Program ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. They are accountable for ensuring all activities conducted are compliant with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures through the execution of the centralized effective challenge function.

- Champion general program engagement and awareness bringing the policies and standards to life across Corporate Functions & Technology, as well as being the trusted partner for TPRM advice and counsel.
- Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Conduct effective challenge and oversight activities across the Global TPRM program; specifically coordination, and execution of effective challenge processes including:
- Review of Criticality and Inherent Risk questionnaires providing effective challenge of the reasonability of the responses based on the product/services delivered to the Bank by a Third Party.
- Review of due diligence performed on exit strategy, among others
- Consolidating a risk view of proposed arrangements on a risk-based basis (GRM Risk Reviews)
- Consideration of the effectiveness of third-party risk management assessments in new initiatives (NIRA-OR3 reviews and oversight)
- Record and track breaches to the TPRM Policy by registering the issue in the Bank’s Global Issue Management System
- Perform remediation and operational projects to continuously improve the accuracy and completeness of the TPRM book of record.
- Support the development and maintenance of applicable operational procedures that support the implementation of Global TPRM policy and standards Including: Quality Control Reviews, Exit Strategy Reviews, GRM Risk Reviews, TPRM Exceptions tracker maintenance, Incidents and Event escalations, New Initiative Risk Assessment (NIRA) and Global Issue Management System (GIMS) tracking ensuring global requirements are taken into consideration.
- Facilitate regular meetings with key stakeholder groups to support efficient program operation and development, as appropriate.
- Establish and nurture relationships with all partners.
- Have a deep understanding of Corporate Functions and Technology business lines to proactively support program success and identify emerging risks.
- Have a continuous improvement mindset; is curious and seeks to learn and understand.
- Identify challenges and pain points and raise them for resolution with urgency and follow through.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have experience with:
- 3-5 years proven risk management experience in Financial Services industry
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance; MBA or other Graduate Program in related discipline would be an asset.
- Advanced understanding of the regulatory landscape with respect to third party risk.
- Experience in leading dynamic and multifaceted projects.
- Strategic thinking and strategic influencing skills.
- Demonstrated technical understanding of pertinent business areas
- Sound judgment, learning agility, and a high level of professional and personal integrity
- Fluency in Spanish is an asset
