Purpose

 

The Manager, Financial Operations is responsible for the financial analysis of Enterprise CID&A expense results and preparation of plans and forecasts. The completed analyses must provide CID&A Management with a focused understating of historical and current financial expense management. The incumbent provides financial support and service to the Financial Portfolio Lead.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will: 

 

  1. Manages CID&A Financial processes and executions that enables to achieving financial and business goals included: budgeting, financial planning and forecasting (zero based budgeting), financial reporting, contract managements, invoices processing and tracking, vendor management, financial consolidation, consolidation of project portfolio project and portfolio status tracking.  

  1. Manages the comprehensive financial review, analysis and evaluation of CID&A’s performance, business values and reporting highlighting significant trends, performance measures, and developments. This analysis must measure performance against established benchmarks – the banks strategic objectives and business objectives and the returns expected from specific expenditures. The primary users of the reports are CID&A management and the Bank’s Executive Management .Commentary must be relevant for the users and provide an information framework of decision making and management action. 

  1. Manages the preparation of CID&A’s annual budget proposal covering volume growth and CID&A’s operating expenses and project budgets, in the context of CID&A business objectives, opportunities and historical performance patterns.  

  1. Support/Advice the preparation of CID&A Business Case Pool Plan, Capital expenditure Forecast based on the business priorities for CID&A  

  1. Prepares/Supports/Advices CID&A Delivery and Project Managers And Project Controls Officers on consolidated project portfolio status and financial reporting  

  1. Provides ongoing responsive, professional financial management advice, recommendations and support to the VP, CID&A Strategy. This includes the preparation, presentation, and review of financial information in addressing CID&A’s results.  

  1. Contributes to the successful team performance in accordance with the Governance and Regulatory Compliance team. This encompasses support to other team members, individual contribution to the team and shared responsibility of the team attainment of objectives.  

  1. Participates in the CID&A audit processes to ensure that cooperation and successful reviews are conducted within the specified timeframe  

  1. Participates in the CID&A business continuity plans to ensure that working teams develop maintain and test applicable business continuity plan(s) consistent with CID&A and regulatory requirements  

  1. Generates Key Performance Indicators/Key Risk indicators to provide factors of reference in which effectively measures and development, performance or associated risk of CID&A business activities and operations  

  1. Provides monitoring and oversight of established internal processes and controls and identifies and develops new internal processes to align with CID&A policies, processes and roadmap  

  1. Provides ongoing direction, coaching and support to tea, which includes providing regular feedback and guiding the team to ensure timely delivery of departmental objectives.  

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have: 

 

  • University degree in business, accounting or finance is required  

  • Working towards CPA/or CFA or Equivalent 

  • Project Management Experiences  

  • Financial Reporting, Consolidation and Forecasting Experience  

  • Database related (MS Excel) work experience required 

 

Working Conditions:  

General office environment: mix of remote and on-site work (2 days per week*) in Downtown Toronto.
