Overview:
 

Under the guidance of the Director Digital Transformation and Senior Manager Digital Transformation, the Manager Digital Transformation is accountable for managing the execution of a multi-year Bank wide Digital Roadmap, this includes accountability for the assessment and prioritization of digital projects and initiatives.  The successful candidate will engage and manage the relationships of key business stakeholders internally.
 

Responsibilities:

Specifically, the Manager Digital Transformation will:

  • Provide support for a Bank-wide strategic digital roadmap by leveraging multiple inputs (i.e. trends, insights, business line strategies, Financial Impact, Customer Experience, Digital Banking, International Banking, Scrum Teams)
  • Together with team, accountable for intake, assessment and prioritization of digital banking initiatives
  • Have shared responsibility for ongoing prioritization and management of digital roadmap
  • Relationship Manager for key stakeholder engagement
  • Apply incremental delivery principles, drive the delivery of business value, communicate progress, elicit feedback and enable stakeholder reviews for validation in the road-map process
  • Manage business activities (operating model, training, communications  etc.) required to support transformation initiatives
  • Manage value-at-stake and total cost of ownership models and define KPIs to measure business outcomes and team success
  • Work with key partners to define investment strategy based on ROI
  • Conduct reporting and financials and perform deep dive analysis to evaluate risk performance to provide actionable insights and refine existing or recommend new risk strategies
  • Analyze and synthesize complex data into coherent and insightful reports and presentations

 

Skills:

 

Previous work experience with significant accountabilities relating but not limited to:

  • Experience with digital transformation, strategy and risk initiatives
  • Skilled relationship management including, influencing senior executive decisions. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to convey complex information and concepts in understandable terms (from deep technical discussions to high level executive vision)
  • Superior analytical skills and financial acumen – demonstrated ability to detect trends and understand data to develop and formulate recommendations/solutions
  • Flexibility to adapt to an evolving environment with shifting priorities with the capacity to handle multiple competing demands and meet tight turnaround timelines
  • Enthusiastic, pro-active, thorough, inclusive and results-oriented. Ability and desire to help others thrive in a dynamic team-oriented environment.
  • Deep passion in first class customer experiences and innovation 
  • Work experience in facilitation and fact-based problem solving to resolve complex issues and drive actionable outcomes
  • Extensive knowledge of database tools including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Tableau, etc.
  • 3 - 5 years of digital, strategy, or technology experience, financial services experience an asset
  • Experience in a technology company or top-tier technology consulting firm an asset
