Director, Digital Marketing Innovation and Technology Stack

The Manager, Digital Acquisition Marketing manages strategic tactical direction for client’s, the bank’s business objectives and understand all aspects of the digital marketplace. The role is focused on digital and has impact on the total digital ecosystem and the roles each of the digital platforms play in the daily lives of consumers.

As the Manager, Digital Marketing Acquisition, you can expect your role to typically involve some or all of the following:

 

  • Strategic planning, execution and ongoing optimization of paid media campaigns including but not limited to programmatic display, paid social, paid search, native, online video and affiliate channels
  • Plan and execute paid media campaigns end to end.
  • Evaluate programmatic partner capabilities, recommending both self-serve and managed service considerations for testing based on business line KPIs
  • Responsible for the management of program budgets and the allocation of budgets across core business lines and products
  • Manage programmatic display vendor relationships
  • Expand the visibility and working knowledge of programmatic across the organization
  • Negotiate with programmatic partners on private marketplace, direct and guaranteed deals
  • Communicate programmatic media capabilities and key insights to the business
  • Provide weekly performance results and insights to the greater marketing and business groups
  • Work closely with copywriters and graphic designers on the development of ad copy and creative.
  • Brief internal ad operations team on upcoming initiatives and tracking/trafficking requirements (impression/click trackers, ad tags and required placements)
  • Stay on top of industry trends and platform/provider updates while evaluating opportunities for innovation and learning   
  • Communicate DMP capabilities and key insights to the business ensuring all core groups have a clear understanding of how the technology operates, when it is best used and the value the technology brings to the business, both from a marketing return and market research position   
  • Analyze the competitive environment and industry trends to determine opportunities for research activities   
  • Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
  • Post-secondary in Business/Marketing, or a related discipline, or have equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years digital marketing, including hands on management of programs, analyzing and optimizing
  • Experience in the Retail, Finance or DR sectors would be helpful to candidate.


Management Experience:

  • Must love being part of a team of passionate and dedicated media marketing professionals across digital areas.
  • Meeting with senior leaders to understand and facilitate client, agency and business requests.
  • Must follow agency process to support/push continued adherence to facilitate workflow and manage expectations.
  • Proven track record in managing large, complex paid media campaigns
  • Strong native platform experience with native self-serve ad platforms such as; DoubleClick Bid Manager, Campaign Manager, AdWords, Facebook Power Editor, Ads Manager etc.
  • 2+ years digital media, including buying, trafficking, analyzing and optimizing
  • Working understanding of ad trafficking through DoubleClick Campaign Manager (DCM) 
  • Data driven mindset with advanced experience using Google Analytics and/or Adobe Analytics
  • Advanced understanding of programmatic media bidding, targeting, and optimization
  • Hands on experience with data management platforms (DMP) is non negotiable
  • Must be proficient in media terminology, media math, and reach and frequency calculations
  • Ability to work independently is imperative.
