Join Scotiabank at a pivotal time of transformation, where Procurement is driving strategic value and innovation. As the Bank accelerates its adoption of AI and digital capabilities, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of sourcing within a global organization.

The role:

As a Manager, Corporate Services Sourcing, you will lead high-impact, Bank-wide sourcing initiatives across an assigned category portfolio, influencing enterprise spend, supplier strategy, and commercial outcomes. You’ll partner closely with senior business leaders and sourcing colleagues to bring market intelligence, negotiation leadership, and category expertise to opportunities that improve quality, innovation, risk management, and service delivery.

This is an opportunity to shape how the Bank approaches supplier selection and category strategy by leading complex sourcing events, strengthening supplier competition, enhancing procurement processes, and delivering measurable value through cost efficiencies, risk-aware negotiations, supplier innovation, and long-term commercial impact.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Partner strategically with senior leaders across the business to influence key decisions, align on enterprise priorities, and develop forward-looking sourcing strategies
  • Translate business needs into sourcing strategies by understanding key drivers, spend patterns, and operational requirements
  • Deliver measurable business value through savings, cost avoidance, demand management, supplier performance improvement, risk reduction, and commercial outcomes that support Total Cost of Ownership objectives
  • Lead complex end-to-end sourcing initiatives, including supplier market assessments, RFx strategy and execution, negotiation planning, contract lifecycle influence, stakeholder governance, and ongoing supplier management
  • Manage categories across multiple business lines, contributing to a robust and evolving supplier management framework
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration by guiding stakeholder teams through sourcing strategies while fostering innovation with supplier partners
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, including leading enterprise-level “Top-to-Top” engagements with key vendors
  • Proactively manage contract pipelines and renewal strategies, partnering with business lines to anticipate needs, consolidate spend, reduce supplier fragmentation, and identify opportunities to streamline supplier contracts
  • Use spend analytics, market benchmarking, supplier scorecards, and performance insights to inform category planning, sourcing recommendations, and data-led supplier decisions
  • Act as a key escalation point for supplier-related issues with enterprise-wide impact
  • Influence enterprise spend and cost optimization efforts across the organization
  • Ensure consistency and discipline in procurement practices across business groups
  • Champion a client-focused culture, leveraging broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge
  • Operate within the Bank’s risk framework, ensuring all activities align with operational risk, regulatory compliance, AML/ATF, and conduct standards
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams by fostering an inclusive environment, supporting career development, and communicating a clear vision and strategy

We’re looking for a strategic sourcing professional who brings strong category management experience, commercial negotiation capability, supplier relationship management discipline, risk and controls awareness, and confidence using procurement data, tools, and insights to influence business decisions.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • 3–5+ years of progressive sourcing experience, ideally including category management, RFx execution, contract negotiation, supplier governance, and procurement transformation within complex or global environments
  • Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) designation (preferred)
  • Global sourcing experience and exposure to multi-market supplier strategies
  • A strong ability to bridge communication across sourcing, business, and legal teams, particularly in structuring contracts that meet business needs
  • A clear understanding of procurement strategies and how they support broader business goals
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging senior leaders
  • Familiarity with financial services regulations (e.g., OSFI, OCC, CFPB, UDAAP) and their impact on third-party relationships (preferred)
  • The ability to analyze complex technical and financial information and translate it into actionable sourcing strategies
  • A balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with proven leadership capabilities
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interpret market trends and supplier insights
  • Experience with modern procurement tools and technologies, including spend analytics, sourcing platforms, supplier performance dashboards, automation, or AI-enabled procurement insights
  • A solid understanding of Bank business units and operating environment
  • Demonstrated success in strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management
