As Manager, Collections Strategy & Data Science, you will contribute to the success of the Collections function by defining, implementing, and evaluating bestinclass strategies that improve customer outcomes and financial performance. You bring strong analytical problemsolving abilities and a collaborative mindset, supported by experience in statistics, data analytics, and retail risk management.

You understand business requirements, work with enterpriselevel data, and leverage advanced analytical techniques to generate actionable insights and recommend strategies that drive profitable growth.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Manage collections analytics, portfolio performance monitoring, and strategy evaluation routines.
  • Own the end-to-end Net Write-Off forecast, ensuring strong models, assumptions, diagnostics, and governance under IFRS9.
  • Update and enhance Power BI dashboards to support forecast visualization and business reporting.
  • Translate macroeconomic scenarios into loss and provision outcomes, delivering clear and actionable variance narratives.
  • Continuously monitor forecast accuracy, overlays, emerging risks, and recommend methodology or operational enhancements as needed.
  • Partner closely with Collections Operations to identify drivers of performance deterioration and recommend corrective actions (e.g., treatment adjustments, channel mix optimization, capacity allocation).
  • Support the development and refinement of segmentation and treatment strategies to improve roll rates, cures, and recoveries.
  • Lead the preparation and analysis of structured and semi-structured data using SQL and analytical tools (Python, R, SAS).
  • Deliver analytical deep dives and insights that inform strategy, improve collections effectiveness, and enhance customer outcomes.
  • Collaborate with modelling and risk partners to support enhancements to predictive models, early warning triggers, and diagnostic frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain performance reporting suites and early warning indicators to proactively identify risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure data quality, controlled production cycles, and thorough back-testing to support accurate and reliable reporting.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels, ensuring alignment and effective execution

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? – We would love to work with you if you have:

  • Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineer, Mathematics, Computer science, or Information technology related discipline
  • 2–3 years of experience in credit risk, collections, retail banking, or advanced analytics.
  • Proficiency with Power BI (highly desired).
  • Strong SQL skills and experience using analytical tools such as Python, R, or SAS.
  • Experience working with large datasets, including data cleaning and preparation of structured and semistructured data (e.g., XML, JSON).
  • Solid foundation in statistical and quantitative analysis with a relevant STEM degree (Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science).
  • Experience with big data tools (e.g., Hive, Spark) or machine learning techniques is an asset.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present insights clearly.
  • Highly resultsdriven, curious, and able to balance detailed analysis with bigpicture thinking.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Spanish language proficiency is an asset.
