Contributes to the overall success of the Scene+ Credit Card Products & Portfolio in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will: 

  • Responsibility for managing and optimizing a product portfolio within the Scotiabank Credit Cards team.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager to lead the design, execution and optimization of product strategies to achieve target profitability objectives while driving best-in-class economics, risk management and client experience.
  • Manage product portfolio activities including overall P&L responsibility, managing product features and working with marketing and acquisition to determine acquisition and retention offers, budgets and campaigns.
  • Cultivate impactful partnerships with internal teams (including Loyalty and Marketing) to deliver best-in-class marketing initiatives, spanning mass campaigns, targeted programs, and exclusive experiential events that drive engagement and brand loyalty.
  • Employ financial, market, and industry analyses in drawing conclusions and developing portfolio/product/program recommendations.
  • Contribute to the development and deliver new programs from concept to execution including the preparation of supporting business cases, documents, presentations and project plans.  
  • Develop and execute the communication strategy, with continual adjustments and improvements as needed.
  • Manage and support project plans for implementing initiatives. Identify milestones, timing and recommend resources required to complete initiatives.
  • Drive post-analysis reporting and measurement of initiative results with Finance and Analytics.
  • Analyze and develop recommendations for improvements and enhanced efficiencies for future portfolio campaigns/programs/initiatives.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.  Implement and execute day business controls to meet obligations with respect to risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have: 

  • Undergraduate degree (or equivalent diploma) required
  • 3+ years of experience in Product Management (cards preferred) and/or Strategy role(s)
  • Detailed understanding of credit card business or relevant experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Thrive on change and comfortable navigating through complexity and ambiguity
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with key stakeholders across the organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in delivering compelling updates and presentations across all levels in the organization

Working Conditions

  • This role is located in our downtown Toronto, ON office location. Non-standard hours may be required to meet business objectives. Limited travel.
