The Manager, Goal Planning & Measurement contributes to the overall success of the Goal Planning and Measurement Department in Canada by supporting the goal planning process and scorecard design for the Branch Network. The role ensures that all activities are conducted in compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies and procedures.

 

The Manager, Goal Planning & Measurement works collaboratively with the broader team to establish effective targets, scorecards, and incentive designs that drive desired behaviours. The role is also responsible for providing analysis and insights to support decision-making and advance the success of Canadian Retail Banking. Effective goal planning is critical to supporting the Bank’s focus on performance and the customer experience.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Support the monthly scorecard process for the Branch Network, including timely and high quality data management and testing; responding to employee questions and concerns;

 supporting adjustments; and managing exceptions.

  • Set Branch Network targets and allocate goals from region to officer across a broad suite of metrics (e.g., sales, net growth, customer pulse, cross-sell, and activities).
  • Conduct capacity testing and determine appropriate and achievable national targets.
  • Deploy and support the goal allocation model.
  • Assist with metric design and back-testing analysis.
  • Support the Branch Network in understanding targets and scorecards, and lead exception and central adjustment processes.
  • Develop reporting for executives and the Branch Network, providing performance insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Demonstrate strong initiative and the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in an environment with tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
  • Apply an understanding of the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture to day-to-day activities and decision-making.
  • Champion a high-performance environment and support talent outcomes by fostering an inclusive workplace; communicating vision, values, and business strategy; and contributing to succession and development planning.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

 

  • University degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Understanding of Canadian retail banking; experience in branch roles is considered an asset.
  • Ability to present to large groups.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into meaningful insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with modern visualization tools (e.g., Power BI or Tableau) is considered an asset.
  • Experience with Python, SAS, and/or SQL is considered an asset.
  • Flexible, motivated, and results-oriented.
  • Hybrid position, with some travel to Toronto required.
