Reporting to the Senior Manager, Enterprise Crisis Management, you will be a key member of our Enterprise Crisis Management, Business Intelligence & Reporting team. Your role will be to provide effective, strategic, tactical, and operational insights that are key for informed decision making. You will leverage your expertise in data visualization, guided analytics, and strong data architecture background to organize and transform data into meaningful information. You will be responsible of the entire BI stack and development lifecycle - from data profiling and modeling to integration and dashboard creation - ensuring that information is both accessible and meaningful. You will also contribute to the overall success of the Enterprise Crisis Management function globally by ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.  This includes ensuring all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

  • You are confident to act as team Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Enterprise Crisis & Business Continuity Management (ECBCM)’s datasets, business processes, and source systems.
  • You excel at defining, establishing, validating, and maintaining high quality data foundation for Business Intelligence (BI) in collaboration with technology partners.
  • You are keen to support the Senior Manager on designing and establishing BI framework, including dashboard templates, design and data standards, code promotion process, security/access and version control.
  • You can sustain BI assets after release, prioritize fixes for defects, measure, and track metrics, proactively identify enhancement opportunities, raise data quality concerns, and implement improvements.
  • It’s a part of your DNA to work on multiple activities simultaneously in a highly dynamic environment and you’re capable of understanding requirements and meeting project deadlines.
  • You strive to champion a high performance and continuous improvement environment by providing technical leadership to team members to support Senior Manager on developing team’s capability.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

  • You can demonstrate strong communication (verbal/written/presentation) skills.
  • You have at least 2+ years of hands-on working experience in developing BI solutions via Microsoft’s Power BI & would include demonstrated working experience with: Power BI Premium, Power BI Dataset, Power BI Datahub, and Power Query.
  • You have at least 2+ years of advanced hand-on working experience with MS Excel by creating/maintaining queries, reports & macros.
  • You can demonstrate expert working knowledge of dimensional data modelling and BI semantic layer implementation.
  • You have working knowledge of database management/data virtualization/logical data warehouse.
  • You are proactive, organized, and have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • You also have strong prioritizing, planning, analytical, project management, and relationship building skills.
  • Knowledge of best practice in data visualization and User Experience (UX) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of SQL is also an asset.
  • Completion of a post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar fields of study.
  • Completion of a Certification in Business Intelligence is preferred.
