The Role
The Manager, Brand & Programs, Scotia Global Asset Management (SGAM) in Canada is responsible for the planning and execution of advertising strategies in support of the defined business. In fulfilling the role, the incumbent will work closely with the creative studio, media agency, vendors, marketing managers, product managers, sales, and business lines with the objective of coordinating advertising campaigns to meet their collective needs.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Support the creative direction and execution of national advertising campaigns, event marketing, communications, and other marketing initiatives:
- Manage the timely execution of a broad range of integrated marketing campaigns and programs designed to generate the desired business impact. These include: advertising campaigns, national event marketing, and other strategic initiatives.
- Oversee the creative production and internal approval process, including translation services, digital, compliance reviews and key stakeholder approvals.
- Work closely with agency on the media strategy, with emphasis on performance marketing.
- Write marketing briefs, campaign performance summaries, build presentations and pitch decks.
- Monitor and analyze campaign analytics to optimize strategy in support of KPIs.
- Manage the paid search (SEM) strategy working closely with internal stakeholders.
- Ensure ongoing communication with key business partners including regular status updates, liaison between creative and media agencies, and other external vendors.
- Proactively identify opportunities to deliver more effective and efficient marketing communications support to business partners.
- Be seen as a trusted advisor and a marketing subject matter expert.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management or Communications preferred.
- Completion of the CSC and/or IFIC course preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of advertising or investment industry experience.
- Knowledge of investment products and demonstrated comprehension of the investment industry.
- Ability to distill investment concepts and features into concise and relatable communications.
- Proven ability to manage and maintain internal and external client partnerships.
- Ability to work effectively and independently within tight deadlines, adapt to changing deadlines and ability to prioritize multiple deliverables within a cross-functional team environment with a variety of reporting levels and varying skills/competencies.
- Superior creative writing, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
- Able to work flexible hours during peak campaign periods.
