The Manager, Governance Planning Office will support the Director, Design Authority and Orchestration, Governance Planning Office, FCRM with stakeholder engagement and coordination across the enterprise AML Risk footprint to ensure effective and timely implementation of the AML Target Operating Model, and execution of key program operational responsibilities.
The incumbent is responsible for supporting the Enterprise AML Risk program strategy across the Enterprise AML Risk footprint by coordinating with key stakeholders on remediation and transformation efforts. As part of this role, the Manager will be responsible for supporting and assisting with the orchestration activities related to the implementation of the AML target operating model. The role will require frequent communication with key stakeholders, in AML Risk Strategy & Change Management, and AML Program Risk Management to help drive a consistency across AML Risk programs.  
Key Accountabilities 

  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Work with GPO Design Authority team and enterprise stakeholders to support the AML TOM Implementation.
  • Prepare regular strategic updates, communications, and presentations, as necessary, to keep all levels of management informed of key AML and sanctions compliance initiatives, risks, issues and changes to the regulatory landscape as it relates to implementation activities.
  • Compile and build data models to support key decisions and tracking of activities toward key deliverables.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, duplication and prioritize activities to maximize time, and cost in execution of implementation activities
  • Build and ongoing development of technology tools designed to store documentation and process manuals.
  • Create process documents including flow charts, manual updates, and interaction models that support solid AML infrastructure and clear roles and responsibilities across the AML footprint.
  • Participate in regular sessions with key stakeholders across the enterprise AML Risk footprint, including the CB, IB, and GBM AML Risk Management, and Strategy & Change Management Teams, to support implementation activities as well as sharing best practices, and advice.
  • Work closely with the full Governance Planning Office teams and 2nd line partners to ensure the appropriateness of strategic/ tactical remediation plans and change management programs.
  • Contribute to a high-performance environment with a focus on individual accountability and strong inter-group collaboration across all teams, reinforcing mutual respect.
  • Develop creative and strategic solutions, including streamlining processes and planning initiatives, as appropriate.
  • Build strong partnerships with First and Second Line, Internal Audit, Technology, Data Governance Office, and other key stakeholders in connection with the Enterprise AML/ATF Program, and work collaboratively across functional teams to resolve open issues in a timely and effective manner


  • 5+ years of experience in data gathering, analytics, and technology
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (Spanish speaking an asset)
  • Strong working knowledge of trending, reporting, and delivering executive level dashboards 
  • Strong project management skills, with ability to manage multiple engagements and projects concurrently
  • Strong knowledge of data visualization software (Tableau, Power BI)
  • Expert knowledge of the MS Office suite including SharePoint
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and enterprise requirements; specifically, AML
  • Strong knowledge of the Bank’s systems and processes 
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and good business judgment  
  • Previous Banking and/or AML experience preferred
