The Team

Global Equity Derivative Team is responsible for servicing Global Capital Markets worldwide and delivering system solutions for internal customers across geographies. This is an opportunity to work in the exciting world of Capital markets, Equity Derivatives and Structured Notes Line of business to be more precise. We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join this dynamic team.

The role:

You will get the chance to contribute to the success of the bank’s Global Banking & Markets Engineering team by working with Businesses and technology teams to generate technology solutions. You will be responsible for creating full-stack solution, and engaged with other developers in the development of equity derivatives trading and valuation systems. You will have the opportunity to work with the best and be responsible for the design, architecture, and final delivery of the solution with an emphasis on code quality and pragmatism. You will have the opportunity to build and deploy code to Public cloud.

Is this role right for you?

• Successful candidate will be responsible for development and support of a front-office trading system used for trade booking, pricing and risk management of derivatives trades.
• Design sound solutions that meet the enhanced and new business needs.
• Work with diverse set of technologies to implement new systems, or enhancements of existing implementations, and ensure sound integration with surrounding components from end-to-end operational perspective.
• Work with engineers for development, deployment and monitoring of derivatives trading platform.
• Proactively partners with business line representatives to drive improved technology solutions that support business strategy.
• Understanding the existing purpose of the application and a how the end user is putting the service to use. Design sound solutions that meet the enhanced and new business needs.
• Ensure that delivery meets the integrity, quality, performance and reliability requirements by building automated testing and regression suites and use of DevOps principles.
• To coordinate infrastructure needs for requisitioning Cloud based infrastructure, databases and assist actively with documentational requirements covering architecture, security and operational readiness.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

• Candidate must have minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience with Python.
• 3+ years of experience building UI/UX/Full-stack solutions [Python or JavaScript].
• 3+ years of experience working with SQL or NoSQL Databases.
• 3+ years of experience in developing, deploying and maintaining large scale applications.
• Candidate should have working knowledge of Public cloud deployment (AWS/Azure/GCP), and basic Linux commands.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Trading applications related to Capital Market/Equities.
