The Product Specialist is a key player within the global business banking risk technology, supporting strategic enhancements to the business banking credit risk platform. The internal and external demand for accurate, consistent and on-demand information from GRM continues grow. The product specialist is responsible for assisting with research and analysis leading to the definition of requirements and processes to assist in the resolution of complex business problems for global risk management. This role will also responsible for assisting with the testing of new systems or enhancements, the training of users, and the provision of ongoing support to all global units.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
- Ideally 5+ years’ experience in technical system analysis within a development team
- Proficiency in Business Analysis procedures and requirements, as well as technical design requirements
- Must have knowledge of using SQL on databases such as Oracle, MSSQL etc.
- Developed analytical and strategic thinking, detail oriented, highly organized
- Working understanding of Scotiabank’s operational practices, systems infrastructure and integration requirements
- Experience in writing business requirements for systems development
- Previous experience in Commerce/Corporate/Investment Banking systems is highly desirable
- Experience with Credit Risk, Corporate Banking, Capital Management is an asset .
- Comfortable work in data-rich environment.
- Experience working in a project environment.
- Strong understanding of technical design, systems infrastructure, and IT&S analysis/process requirements
