Scotiabank Global Wealth Management Technology is seeking a Lead Developer to support and enhance business operations through innovative solutions. In the short term, the role will focus on modernizing business applications, while in the long term, the analyst will be an integral part of a support and development team, providing business-as-usual (BAU) support.

 

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

 

  • Collaborate with business users to gather, analyze, and document requirements, translating them into insightful reports.
  • Design and implement efficient solutions and ETL processes for seamless data transformation.
  • Automate workflows to improve operational efficiency and minimize manual effort.
  • Provide technical support for Portfolio Management software, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

 

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools and data integration methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in visualization tools such as Visio and PowerPoint for process mapping and presentations.
  • Knowledge of file transfer protocols and secure data exchange.
  • Familiarity with automation tools like Autosys for scheduling and workflow automation.
  • Coding experience in Python, Windows Scripting, C#, VB, with exposure to the .NET environment.
  • Solid understanding of SQL databases and query optimization.
  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation for business and development purposes.
  • Experience working with monitoring tools to track system performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Expertise in code and process optimization to enhance system efficiency
