The Instructional Designer is responsible for designing and developing engaging, high-quality digital learning solutions that align with business objectives and employee needs. This role supports enterprise-wide learning initiatives by translating learning requirements into effective experiences, ensuring content is aligned to established standards, and leveraging learner insights to continuously enhance impact.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Design and develop digital learning solutions that align to business goals, learning objectives, and enterprise standards
- Partner with Business HR and stakeholders to assess learning needs and define program objectives and outcomes
- Create learning experience artifacts (e.g., storyboards, scripts, wireframes, prototypes) to guide development and support stakeholder alignment
- Develop and maintain digital learning content using tools such as Articulate (Rise, Storyline), Vyond, and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to create engaging, effective learning experiences
- Support the end-to-end design process, from needs analysis through to development, testing, and implementation
- Provide updates on project progress, timelines, and risks, and collaborate with partners to ensure successful delivery
- Monitor industry trends and best practices to recommend enhancements to learning experiences and approaches
- Ensure learning solutions align with organizational policies, procedures, and risk considerations
- Contribute to global learning initiatives and projects, supporting employees across multiple business areas
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have:
- Post-secondary education in Learning, Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- Experience in instructional design, digital learning development, or a related learning and development role
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Articulate (Rise & Storyline), Vyond, and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Ability to design engaging, learner-centric experiences across a variety of formats and platforms
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment
- Experience in financial services or a large, complex organization is considered an asset
