The HR Reporting Specialist creates and delivers HR reports and data in a secure and responsible manner. This role receives reporting requests, works with stakeholders to understand their data needs, explains privacy and data limitations, follows internal processes, and provides either self‑service access or custom HR reports.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

  • Respond to HR data and reporting requests submitted through the internal request system
  • Meet with requestors to understand their needs, clarify requirements, and explain data privacy or access considerations
  • Create and deliver HR reports ranging from simple data extracts to more complex analyses and insights
  • Support HR teams and business partners with data and insights related to:
    • Headcount and workforce planning
    • Talent and career development
    • Diversity and inclusion
    • Organizational effectiveness and engagement
    • Culture and retention
  • Help users navigate and utilize HR reporting tools, including the HR Report Centre and other approved platforms
  • Perform data analysis and run complex queries to prepare accurate, reliable, and timely reports
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of automated reports and dashboards by helping define business requirements and future improvements
  • Track common questions and recurring issues, and share insights with the Manager to enhance processes and service delivery
  • Support strong data quality, standardized reporting, and consistent data management practices
  • Follow data governance, privacy, risk, and compliance requirements in all reporting activities
  • Promote efficient, well controlled reporting processes that align with the Bank’s risk and compliance standards
  • Support a positive, inclusive, and high performance team environment

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have:

 

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build relationships across the organization
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting, with strong Excel skills
  • Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, and database structures (Python considered an asset)
  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide insights
  • Ability to assess reporting needs and produce accurate, high quality reports
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, systems, and organizational structure
  • Understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to identify solutions that meet business objectives and support strategic initiatives
  • Strong collaboration skills and a customer focused mindset
  • Ability to meet established objectives, SLAs, and ensure business continuity within assigned schedules
  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (CHRP designation an asset)
