The HR Communications Specialist contributes to the overall success of Global HR Solutions by ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Develop and publish employee-facing operational communications related to HR programs (e.g., Learning, Performance and Culture), policies and system enhancements.
  • Own and execute communication plans by working closely with key HR partners, Global Communications and translation services to publish content on me@scotiabank.
  • Work with the Employee Services team to prepare and distribute targeted and mass email communications to contribute to a strong employee experience.
  • Manage the tracking of HR initiatives, cyclical employee programs, and key dates at the GHRS, GHR, and enterprise level.
  • Provide logistics support for town halls and other ad hoc priority meetings and events including invites, presentations and logistics.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have:

 

  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma in related discipline (Communications, Journalism, Organizational Development, English, Business, Human Resources)
  • 1 to 3 years in developing and executing employee communications
  • Experience managing content on intranet platforms (e.g., SharePoint Online) and email newsletters, including troubleshooting formatting issues
  • Ability to create visually engaging internal communications using PowerPoint and design elements (e.g., infographics, banners)
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with key partners, subject matter experts, and leadership.
  • Able to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to work well independently
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Fluency in Spanish is desirable
