Contributes to the overall success of the Global Operations, Tax Reporting team for globally held assets in Prime brokerage, Scotia Capital Inc., Scotia Wealth Management, ITRADE, ScotiaTrust, BNS Custody Services and BNS Foreign Subsidiaries ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.  Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge. 
  • Support team by planning and coordinating day to day activities and provide any additional support. 
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timelines/work back schedules are respected for on time delivery 
  • Ensure accuracy in all documentations and deliverables
  • Analyze results/ findings for process improvements 
  • Summarize results and highlight wins and key opportunities of bank initiatives  
  • Assist in development of report to share with internal and external partners 
  • Explore and learn aspects of Scotiabank duties relevant to tax treatments and oversee the tax slip production and distribution to all clients. 
  • Play a crucial role in ensuring that Scotiabank reputation is protected by adhering to Scotiabank compliance and risk framework. 
  • Ensure operational efficiency of the Tax Reporting Dept. is maintained at a high level in accordance with approved policy and procedures  
  • Collaborate in a high-performance setting and contribute to an inclusive work environment.
