The Intern, Fraud Program Management & Design role under Global Fraud Management supports initiatives that strengthen the team’s fraud prevention, detection, reporting, and operational effectiveness capabilities.

 

This role provides meaningful exposure to project management, fraud operations, process improvement, and technology-enabled solutions within a regulated banking environment, while ensuring all activities are conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

  • Support initiatives designed to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness within Canadian Fraud Management.
  • Assist with project coordination activities, including maintaining trackers, preparing status updates, organizing documentation, and following up on action items.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, IT, Risk, HR, and Data Science, to support PMO deliverables and process improvement activities.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, tools, and emerging practices related to project management, automation, artificial intelligence, and fraud prevention.
  • Support communication and coordination across fraud leadership, business units, and technology teams by preparing materials, capturing meeting notes, and helping track deliverables.
  • Assist in preparing presentations, summaries, and reporting materials for team discussions and leadership updates.
  • Assist with maintaining project plans, timelines, meeting notes, and status trackers for PMO initiatives.
  • Help monitor project milestones, deadlines, and key deliverables, escalating issues to team members as appropriate.
  • Support risk and issue tracking by maintaining logs, documenting concerns, and assisting with follow-up actions.
  • Follow established PMO processes, standards, and documentation practices while building project management knowledge and experience.

  • You are currently enrolled in post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Economics, IT, Data Analytics or a related program.
  • You love to learn and envision yourself working for an international organization that heavily invests in your future.
  • You enjoy being involved in extracurricular activities such as conferences, clubs, competitions, and/or hackathons.
  • You have an interest in project management, fraud management, risk, operations, data analysis, or process improvement within financial services.
  • You possess strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with data visualization or project management tools is considered an asset.
  • You have demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have completed previous internship, co-op, academic project, or volunteer experience in a related area is considered an asset.
