Title:  Global Head, Global Banking Markets Corporate Access

Purpose: The Global Head, GBM Corporate Access will develop and implement global corporate access strategy to identify and increase our corporate client interactions in furtherance of a stronger Scotiabank relationship across all GBM products.

 

Mandate:

  • Lead and develop the global access mandate and strategy.
  • Lead a global team of professionals to create a unified vision for corporate access and events within GBM to foster greater access for our corporate clients within the Americas to investing clients globally. This effort includes the coordination of all marketing across geographies to emphasize our cross-border capabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with business leaders and relationship managers to target lead, or growth clients with bespoke marketing, conference, or other unique events. Develop relationships with key corporate clients, including corporate Investor Relations professionals as part of our overall Scotiabank product offering.
  • Develop cross-asset engagement opportunities to include opportunities with Equity, Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange, and Commodity investors and customers.
  • In support of Research and Strategy professionals, develop appropriate conference agendas, speaking opportunities and invitations to enhance key client and investor relationships. In addition, seek innovative ideas and trends to create new opportunities to build Scotiabank’s value proposition and client relationships.
  • Be prepared to host corporate lunches or marketing meetings where necessary.
  • Collaborate with Product Heads to drive client strategy by ensuring appropriate resource allocation of access to key and targeted client accounts within GCM.
  • Create global awareness strategy of event and corporate marketing ensuring both internal and external partners are aware of upcoming opportunities to build our franchise throughout our footprint.
  • Prepare and deliver corporate presentations to solicit active marketing mandates from our lead and growth clients. Deliver follow-up investor feedback to corporate clients following Scotia events and marketing.
  • Liaise with our Scotiabank Event team for planning and logistics of specific GBM events.
  • Perform shareholder analysis on key lead and growth clients to recommend potential shareholders and marketing strategy to corporate clients.
  • Manage, evaluate, and promote a global budget of events across GCM products and regions.

 

Qualifications:

  • 10-plus years of capital markets experience, corporate access experience or related field.
  • Strong understanding of Global Banking Markets products and services.
  • Team oriented, results driven decision maker.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
