Global Transaction Banking (GTB) is the payments and transaction engine of Scotiabank. We support Small Business, Commercial, and Corporate clients with effective treasury management solutions coupled with a best-in-class service model, making it easy for clients to do business with us.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Contributes to the overall success of the Global Business Payment Product Portfolio in Canada by identifying new revenue streams, sizing new initiatives, addressing current product gaps, and finding cross product synergies.
- Support a customer‑focused culture by contributing analysis that helps GTB teams better understand client behavior, product usage, and portfolio performance.
- Assist in analyzing the financial performance of GTB portfolios, including revenues, deposits, pricing outcomes, and profitability metrics.
- Support portfolio optimization initiatives by preparing data, maintaining models, and analyzing drivers of revenue, balances, and economic value (e.g., FTP).
- Work closely with pricing, finance, and analytics partners to support pricing reviews, profitability assessments, and identification of optimization opportunities.
- Assist in evaluating the economic and financial feasibility of portfolio actions or initiatives (e.g., pricing changes, product enhancements) through data collection and scenario analysis.
- Build, update, and maintain data‑driven models, trackers, and dashboards to monitor key portfolio KPIs such as revenue, volumes, balances, and margins.
- Support the development of business cases and financial summaries by compiling analysis, assumptions, and supporting materials.
- Contribute to forecasting and planning activities by consolidating inputs, validating data, and supporting portfolio owners during planning cycles.
- Conduct research and analysis on internal performance trends, client behavior, and competitive benchmarks to support portfolio optimization discussions.
- Assist in identifying portfolio and product gaps by analyzing customer needs, market trends, and performance metrics.
- Prepare recurring portfolio performance summaries and materials to support internal reviews and management discussions.
- Build awareness of the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture and apply this understanding in day‑to‑day analytical work.
- Ensure activities are performed in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, Code of Conduct, Global Sales Principles, and applicable operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk requirements.

- You are currently enrolled in post-secondary education in Business, Economics, Analytics or a related field.
- You love to learn and envision yourself working for an international organization that heavily invests in your future.
- You enjoy being involved in extracurricular activities such as conferences, clubs, competitions, and/or hackathons
- You have strong analytical skills with an interest in portfolio analytics, pricing, and financial performance analysis.
- You have working knowledge of Excel and financial modeling techniques; exposure to dashboards or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) is an asset.
- You have the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and summarize insights clearly for internal stakeholders.
- You have a strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple analytical tasks.
- You have an interest in Global Transaction Banking products such as payments, cash management, and deposits.
