Who We Are:

 

Scotiabank's Operations group and Customer Contact Centres provide support for mission-critical business units, customers, and various banking operations in Canada, the United States, Latin America, Europe, and Asia. During your term, you’ll gain experience with accounting procedures and support operations, while learning about different financial instruments and processes, as well as our products and client-offerings. You’ll strengthen your customer service skill set and expand your operational knowledge.

 

The Fraud Management team safeguards our customers and the Bank, and supports partners in three ways: knowledge sharing with control partners, revenue protection by providing fraud avoidance support and omnichannel engagement.

 

The Governance and Training Fraud Team champions a customer focused culture by supporting the development, implementation and sustainment of activities in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. And ensures all activities are conducted in compliance with regulations, internal policies and procedures.

 

What will your role be?

 

As an Intern on our Fraud Governance and Training Team, you are responsible for providing support on the various initiatives and activities the team is involved in. Initiatives range in nature and complexity. Examples include new technology launch, Audit, Compliance and Privacy engagements, developing processes and procedures, creation of databases/repositories.

 

 

 

What will you be doing?

  • You will demonstrate your passion for superior customer service and use your problem-solving abilities by collaborating with team members on the various initiatives you participate in
  • You will carefully review procedures/processes 
  • You will support the build out of training curriculums
  • You will participate in project meetings and contribute to the development of executive reporting
  • You will be compiling the required artifacts for the Audit, Compliance and/or Privacy testing/engagements (to name a few) which involve Fraud
  • You will be responsible for retrieving information required from various sources
  • You will be inputting key data/information and pulling a variety of reports
  • You will be completing, provisioning and following up on key system access requests
  • You will be reviewing and analyzing results from various reports
