The opportunity:

 

Group Treasury manages the funds and financial risks for the Bank. Our priority is to ensure the Bank has the funding it needs to manage its day-to-day business obligations, while also helping develop and execute on its long term financial strategies and policies.

In this role, you will contribute to the overall success of the Treasury Central Office (TCO) in Group Treasury in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the department’s business strategies and objectives. 

The incumbent will ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures and will help drive efficiency and mitigate risks arising from change initiatives impacting Group Treasury. 

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

  • Support the Treasury Central Office team within project control discipline to derive efficiencies, by performing project admin activities such as maintaining the project files, reviewing the weekly Fieldglass time tracking reports for anomalies, supporting the delivery managers to update the project forecast, etc.
  • Take accountability for invoice processing in Payment Request Centre (PRC) for the TCO team and coordinates the invoice payments/confirmations with Accounts Payable for project related agreements.
  • Respond to/provide support on day-to-day issues and inquiries related to invoice processing.
  • Support the design and delivery of the Business Continuity operating plan for Treasury, ensuring adherence to policies and standards, including where direct precedents do not readily apply i.e. COVID.
  • Assist the Associate Director to re-vamp the Treasury intranet website and deliver the Treasury Newsletter, Communications, and miscellaneous duties.
  • Perform administrative BAU activities and regular job duties while participating as part of the overall team within the department.

  • Experience in business, finance, accounting, treasury, or project management would be an asset
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good team building skills, working with diverse groups to resolve issues and identify efficiencies
  • Ability to develop and leverage strong relationships with key business partners
  • Strong PC skills with emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint and Word
