Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
- Works in collaboration with the Payments Oversight team members to ensure timely and accurate payment processing aligned to internal policies and procedures and direction from Global Tax department
- Interacts remotely with payments processing personnel in Global Business Services campus (Bogota, Colombia)
- Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Contributes to the management of payment technology application products including AP, T&E, GPO Intranet, Supplier Portal
- Promotes best practices to support daily manual operations, technology aided operations, automations, and gathering of payments data intelligence capabilities and services
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Creates an environment in which their team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

- Experience working in a high-volume payment operations / accounts payable unit
- Strong team player
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Undergraduate University Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- English intermediate advance level (written and spoken)
- French intermediate advance level (written and spoken)
- Excel, word, or Access skilled.
