What are we working towards:
- Reporting to the VP of Digital Planning & Performance, the Director of Commercialization & Operations, this newly created role supports the growth ambition of the business. The Director of Commercialization and Operations will lead the digital commercialization agenda, driving cross-functional alignment on go-to-market strategies, and represent Digital Channels in operational and commercialization governance forums. This role combines strategic vision, operational leadership, and cross-functional execution to drive growth.
- We are building leadership in the direct channel, optimizing client experience across digital platforms, and launching new features/products to differentiate in the marketplace. Commercialization is accelerating growth through digital enablement for product/feature launch & GTM support, delivering operational excellence, and championing the voice of the employee.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Commercialization and Go-to-Market Planning
- Identify and prioritize opportunities based on partner needs, market trends, and internal capabilities
- Develop a go-to-market approach and playbook, partnering across Marketing, Product & Channel
- Lead the end-to-end commercialization strategy for digital releases, ensuring alignment with product roadmaps, enterprise priorities, and client outcomes
- Collaborate with product, marketing, technology, and operations teams to deliver scalable, insight-driven solutions
- Operational Readiness & Financial Management
- Own operational readiness standards and drive continuous improvement of processes and governance routines
- Partner with senior stakeholders in Technology, Operations, and Risk to manage dependencies and ensure delivery scalability
- Ensure consistent execution discipline across digital releases through structured operational playbooks and performance routines
- Ensure the effective planning and control of unit operating expenses
- Programming & Engagement
- Champion the voice of the channel by leading employee & partner facing digital programming & engagement (e.g. hackathons, Future Fest, New Employee Onboarding, etc.)
- Digital Team Leadership
- Foster a values-based team culture that is high performing, collaborative, customer-centric, and innovative
- Partner with marketing, digital, and analytics teams to optimize customer engagement and conversion
- Identify performance enhancement opportunities to significantly improve sales, reduce cost and effectively manage risk
- Attract, nurture, and retain a strong and effective team that align goals and sales compensation to maintain a highly energized, collaborative, and results-focused team
- Collaborate with the Head of Products & Platforms to ensure alignment between commercial strategy and product delivery
- Work closely with leadership team peers to establish and support strategic initiatives and cross-business synergies

- Proven track record in commercial strategy, digital transformation, and distribution leadership.
- Experience in digital products, financial services, or related verticals; 7+ years.
- Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills; 5+ years.
- Strategic thinker with operational rigour and execution excellence; 5+ years.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and scale new business models; 5+ years.
- Proven competency influencing, assessing, developing, and coaching talent to contribute to a high performing and values-based team environment.
